JERIN - Germany and Indonesia / Jerman dan Indonesia
JERIN - Jerman dan Indonesia is an event series initiated by the German Government with a view to presenting Germany as a close partner of Indonesia on many levels. The overall theme of the event series, of which Federal President Christian Wulff is patron, is “New Energies for the Future”. Under the motto ”Creativity through Diversity”, the aim is to illustrate how Germany and Indonesia are working together to address a wide spectrum of topics – from climate change and energy efficiency to culture and education - and chart new directions for tomorrow’s world.
With a logo that features Germany and Indonesia, JERIN comprises over 60 projects and events in Jakarta and other major cities across Indonesia. The event series will run from October 2011 to June 2012.
The organizing bodies are the Goethe-Institut, the German-Indonesian Chamber of Commerce - EKONID - and the German Embassy. Partners range from Indonesian and German companies to the German Academic Exchange Service DAAD, the German development agency GIZ, the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development and the Federal Ministry of Education and Research as well as a number of foundations.
